Happy New Year from the Development Office at TCCNHS

It’s hard to believe that 2008 has come to an end. This past year has been especially monumental for The Christ College of Nursing and Health Sciences as it celebrated several significant “firsts.” On June 27, 2008, the college graduated its first class of 139 students with an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing degree. The graduation marked the successful transition into The Christ College of Nursing and Health Sciences!

On October 29, 2008 the college held its first annual Scholarship Reception. This wonderful occasion allowed students to say thank you to those who made their scholarship possible. It is with great pleasure that we announce that The Christ College awarded more than $200,000 in scholarships in 2008, a 30% increase from 2007.

Without doubt, student scholarships would not be possible without the tremendous support of our alumni and friends. As I reflect on 2008, and remember the strides the college has made I’d like to thank you for making this year special for The Christ College, its students, alumni, faculty and staff. All of us at the college are greatly appreciative of your wonderful generosity and understand that our alumni and friends put The Christ College among the best nursing colleges in the Greater Cincinnati area.

Greetings

Welcome to The Christ College Development Office blog.

My goal as the Director of Development is to ensure that the college becomes even more vital through growth and careful stewardship of its philanthropic resources. I am very delighted to be working here and part of The Christ College team. All of the growth and progress that has been made at the college over the last century is made possible by the support of alumni and friends. We have a strong tradition of philanthropy here, a tradition that distinguishes the college from all others. I am happy to report that over 23% of our alumni invested in the college last year. That is a number unbeatable by any other local college or university.

I hope you find the development blog useful and I urge you to stop back often. Thank you in advance for your support.

Sincerely,

Ms. Danielle Gentry-Barth
Director of Development
